Human trafficking: ERC Approves Movement

In the quest to sensitize and promote war against human trafficking, members of the Udukhotse Foundation on May 19, 2018 received approval letter from the Education Resource Centre (ERC) to distribute book to public, especially schools under the Federal Capital Territory  (FCT).

Having received the letter, the founder Lois Otse Adams gave a brief lecture on human trafficking to senior secondary students of the Abuja gifted school who were present. Noting to this, she urged them to keep track on ways to make the country and her citizens great.

Members also paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development. In course of this visit, the Director, Child Department, assured the Foundation of a rubust collaboration to meet the needs of the child, especially girl child. In addition, the book, written by the founder was one of the books distributed to children nationwide at the children parliament, event organised by the United Nations, held May 24, 2018.

In same vein, the Foundation members went further to visit the Director, Gender, Social Development to finalize areas needed to be explored to have effective work force.

It could be noted as well that the founder is also designing projects that will enlighten and empower every child, young adults and physically challenged in schools nationwide. This is to stand firm in their positive beliefs while proceeding to tertiary institutions.

On that regard, the Secondary Education Centre (SEC) had promised to support every activities held under FCT schools. This is base on their interest to integrate and enhance the standard of the Secondary schools in the environment.

The Founder of Haven Rehabilitation and Reintegration, Mrs. Queen Klopper has also thrown weight behind the creative author and anti-human trafficking campaigner, Adams.

In her words, she finely stated their place in promoting freedom amongst children and empowerment of the children and youths to be self content and reliant in future. “We will be held responsible if we don’t train and empower every child to be greater than us” Klopper emphasised.
