The Chairman of Association of Nigerian Authors, Abuja Chapter, Author of several books and Founder, Halimafactor Community Initiative Factor, Mrs. Halima Usman today 20th June, 2018 attends Northern Women in Education and Literature Conference in Sokoto holding currently.
The renowned poet who has carved a niche for herself in the literary world is currently attending the first conference taking place at Sokoto state as one of the guest speakers.
The event which is jointly organised by the Waziri Junaidu History and Culture Bureau and the United States Embassy, Abuja is taking place today 20th through tomorrow 21st June, 2018 at the Umar Ali Shinkafi Polythecnic Auditorium Hall, Sokoto State.
The event is chaired by Professor Aishatu Maidawaki, Honorable Commissioner, Basic and Secondary Education; other special guests of honour are Professor Sambo Wall Juniad, Wazirin Sokoto, Sokoto Sultanate Council; Alhaji Ahmad Barade Wamakko, Commissioner, Ministry of Social Welfare and Culture, Sokoto State; Dr Amamatu Yusuf, SA., Agency for Female Education, Sokoto State and the Chief Host, Larry Socha, Cultural Affairs Officer, United States Embassy, Abuja. Other guests present were Haj. Balaraba Ramat Yakubu, younger sister to late Gen. Murtala Mohammed and Northern Nigeria foremost writers.
