Nigeria as a supposed blessed nation has a people who had struggled to have access to free and quality education.

The supposed giant of Africa is threatened because voices of the educated ones are no longer heard, in a decade from today, her recognition amongst the comity of nations will wane and go into extinction and may not be heard in the global setting anymore, interns of education.

In view of the foregoing, there is a dire need to groom young ones, who will change the narratives of our country’s  education system which is geometrically and speedily cascading  downwards and in an alarming proportion. Little wonder that a former Minister for education, Professor Babatunde Fafunwa, described our education system as “a total disaster “

If young Nigerians are not trained, educated, empowered and groomed now, what becomes of  the future of Nigeria and Nigerians, and who will lead the giant of Africa to her promise land?

Sola Olukoya in his efforts, his steady and healthy relationship with people in the corporate world, have brought hope to the hopeless teeming Nigerians, who have left secondary schools with excellent grades, but being denied progression to higher education, due to the lack of financial wherewithal and other resources, particularly supports from the society and the corporate entities, who have failed in their obligations to the society through Corporate Social Responsibility, via sponsorship of exceptional students to study overseas.

None of them ever thought in that direction when Olukoya said  “I have good news for you”.

Amazingly, they were all selected to have equal chance for the full scholarship programme, to study various courses of choice at the Redeemer College of Science and Technology. Although this offer is for those who are excellently qualified and exceptionally intelligent.

The elation, joy and showers of praises and prayers on the humble servant of God, was highly evident in the beneficiaries and their well wishers.

Indeed, it is a dream come true and the lifting of an enduring burden, which has ignited and illuminated internal joy and gladness.

Some of the beneficiaries  during an interview, told stars and styles.com that in their entire life, they have scanned from the beginning to the end, they never thought they could envisage or imagine gaining access to the four walls of school anymore as all hopes were indeed lost.

Some, whose parents could not shoulder the financial weight of seeing them through school, narrated how  they have always prayed for their parents, but they never thought the help will come through the church by God’s Servant,  Sola Olukoya.

While some shed tears of joy and could not talk to us, some promised to be good ambassadors and to emulate the man God used, a man who has surrendered to the will of God to lift people from their present and future poverty to light.

The admission process is ongoing, as qualified candidates are expected to resume school in earnest time.

Pastor Sola Olukoya is the Resident Pastor of Jesus Embassy Zone of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and Assistant Pastor in Charge of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) 4 on Coporate Social Responsibility.

He is a man who has totally given himself for God to use as a good instrument to the benefit of mankind, by standing  alone as a child of God and not just a pastor.
