It was a great evening with writers, civil servants, commercial sector and associates of the Association of Nigerian Authors as the red cap chief Patrick Tagbo Oguejiofor was honoured for his doggedness, hardwork, and impactful works in the society. The event held at the usual Savannah Suites Hotel, Area 3, Garki, Abuja, May 3, 2018.
The guest author, Sir Oguejiofor was the former secretary, vice chairman and chairman of the chapter and he was known for excellence performance even during his National Youth Service Corps therefore, he presented an impactful literary sermon as guests were overwhelmed by his published books: The great hunter, The secret place,
Sin of the fathers, fast track and several books and children story books.
He was ushered to the stage following his biography that was cited by a creative author, former PRO and present treasurer of the chapter, Lois Otse Adams.
Ms. Salamatu Sule, a renowned book reviewer was invited to the podium to engage the guest author on issues that centre on the books read, during this process questions and suggestions were raised.
Issues of being a die hard writer and selfless services to humanity, instances were made about some great writers who have passed but writers stood and write for what they believed by emulating and living their legacies thus taking responsibility for whatever they belief in.

Others who spiced the event were Mr. O.C. U. Ofordile who presented an extensive talk on the individual races. He said the community we glamour begins with individuals and we cannot have a community without an individual, another famous author of the chapter Mrs. Uche Helen Ibezim gave her rendition as titled LEAVE ME ALONE. The guest author’s book were presented to students of Jimmik Surestart School, Apo, who were present for the reading.
The chairman of the chapter Mrs. Halima Usman spoke about the three mandate of her administration, to build the chapter, production of quality books and fostering the spirit of unity.
Giving the vote of thanks, Halima expressed her gratitude to everybody who avail themselves for the reading.
