The June Edition of the Mbari Series recorded traffic, as guests and lovers of creativity tripped in and out of the writers village while they embraced the ambience of the place laced with literary canfor.
This Months’ edition with theme, Creative Literature as NPK, was held at the Femi Osofison Conference Hall at the Chinua Achebe International Hall of Mamman Vasta Writers Village, Mpape, Abuja, yesterday, 18th June, 2022.

The special book of the day was OMOKEWU, a community play written by the Vice Chancellor of University of Abuja, Prof. Abdulrasheed Na’Allah.
Na’Allah who is an artiste to the core, swept the youths present off their feet, through his reading as he led them to unimaginable realm of literature. He thereafter responded to questions that emanated from his reading.

The youths, who were ignited and inspired by the play, displayed their talents by acting out some pages of the playlet. This session was one of the heights of the event, as the guest writer watched them and felt awesomely good and encouraged the future is bright.
The event hosted by a literary activist, Prof. Udenta O. Udenta, had in attendance, other professors from various Institutions, political office holders, literary enthusiasts, business men and women, members of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), students and friends of the association. Members of both National and Abuja Executives were also present to explore creativity.

The National President of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Chris Isiguzo who was there to give official support to his ANA counterpart, during an interview session, advised the youths to kin into the initiative of the Camilus Ukah led administration, ‘A Child, A Book, A Week’ Project to ensure that the younger generation is a full blown body of knowledge.
Meanwhile, the ANA President took the Guest Writer, and other guests to inspect the ANA Modern Library, as a result, the guests who were amazed proposed to partner with the association to maximize the potentials and to ensure the purpose it was established is met.
Ukah, who thinks proactively went further on behalf of the association to propose three areas to the Guest Writer and Vice Chancellor; to give a Keynote Speech during the November 2022 Annual Convention of the association, to partner on the establishment of a Full blown Creative Theatre and to partner on Quarterly Conference that will play host to young writers who need mentorship, Scholars and Critics. The Vice Chancellor, being an artiste, received the association’s request with gladness.
The Chinua Achebe Literary Prize Committee, a body of Professors, chaired by Prof. Emeka Aniagolu met after the reading session to review the previous Prizes and discuss the way forward, while the President hosted the Guest Writer and some Guests after the reading session to celebrate life.
The Poetry session was spiced up by Attah De-Titan, Hader Otaki, Barrister Martin Ezimano and other great poetry radicals. Prof. Tanure Ojaide moderated the event, holding it up with his analytical skills for hours as the outcome was beyond any one’ imagination.
The Mbari rebirth by Camilus Ukah in February 2022, was established by the founding Father of the association, Prof. Chinua Achebe.
