It is with great pleasure and utmost enthusiasm that I extend my warmest welcome to each of you as we embark on this extraordinary journey together.
As a speaker of the event themed “Harnessing Creativity for Social Impact and Community Development,” I am honored to share my thoughts at this momentous occasion, the 5th Annual Convention of the Club.
In overcoming the pressure society or community place on young adults, to reduce the pressure among youths and also having a government that encourages young creative minds, the name of this club ‘creative’ is apt for the times we are currently going through.
I advise the youths and young adults to be adaptive to the situation foisted on the citizens by tapping into their creative capacity to bring solutions to challenges.
Problems present opportunities for innovations and this engenders meaningful engagements that will see the emergence of successful entrepreneurs.
Doing well or success is based on individual perspective and there should not be one size-fit all. However, there are still basic matrix to gauge success.
As a father, business personality and community leader, I am of the view that goals should be set with guiding principles like self-sustainence, kindness, humility and unwavering focus.
Success can be achieved in different fields, different forms and at various times.
For instance when we were growing up, artists, footballers, musicians were considered second rate to Doctors and Engineers. Seeing what art and sports has done to place Nigeria on the global map, I am sure society is having a rethink on fixed expectations from the youths.
Through the amalgamation of innovation, imagination, and collaboration, we shall continue to explore the remarkable potentials of creativity in transforming communities and fostering positive change.
Let us join forces, ignite inspiration, and propel our collective vision towards a brighter and more prosperous future.
Let us be the good citizens our communities look up to.
