Abuja: The Honourable Minister of State, Finance, Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Agba delivered remarks, today, 6th October, 2022, at the launch of the Integrated Infrastructure Research for Development Conference and National Development Plan, by His Excellency, Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, GCON.
At the event organized by the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), he spoke on the importance of National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan (NIIMP), developed to guide Nigeria’s infrastructure investment. He further highlighted the growth in the nation’s infrastructure stock in spite of the challenges posed by low revenue.
The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, GCON, Honourable Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Dr. Zainab Amhed and other experts and researchers also gave remarks at the Conference, that is aimed at promoting dialogue and exchange between leading edge economic researchers, the wider community of policymakers and practitioners on leveraging infrastructure for development.
The initiative also aims at steering the global economy on to a more sustainable long-term development path, specifically to explore how a variety of infrastructural developments, such as digital infrastructure, transport networks, and energy systems are linked to economic growth and wider development impacts.
Other dignitaries at the event were members of the Federal Executive Council, Economic Research Experts, Stakeholders, top government officials, etc.
