On the occasion of annual thanksgiving and God’s faithfulness upon the commission held Sunday January 29, 2017, the Director General, the Management and the entire family of National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) appreciate God for the blessings released in 2016 and rejoiced over things hope for in the year 2017.
During the thanksgiving session at the Maitama Zonal Headquarters of the Foursquare Gospel Church, the Director General, Mr. Adolphus Joe Ekpe led his staff to the altar to dedicate the entire commission to God in regards to the milestone achievement of last year.
He thank God for the journey so far, efforts made toward becoming the number one revenue generation agency in Nigeria, having permanent Head office, robust staff welfare package and many more.
He urged staff not to relent in making collective efforts toward achieving the desired goals for the commission. He also challenged staff to continue to seek the face of God for the commission and Nigeria in general.
Responding, in his sermon entitled ‘Praise, Worship and Thanksgiving is pleasant to God’, the pastor in charge, Rev. Joshua Aladegbaye, told the congregation that the essence of praise, worship and thanksgiving is to have pleasant time with God and urged them not to relent in doing so.
He also urged staff to cultivate the act of thanksgiving, “when you thank God the tank of your joy will never run dry. God is the strength of your battles”, he said.
He however stated that staff of NLRC and faithful of God’s work should live to thank God in splendor.
More so, the annual thanksgiving is a tradition of the commission, coordinated by the National Lottery Christian Fellowship (NLCF) under the leadership of Ekpe.
