ETSAKO CLUB 81 EXTENDS CONDOLENCES TO LATE HAJIA RAHEEMAT’S FAMILY

The Chairman of Etsako Club 81, Abuja Chapter, Hon. Dauda Usman has extended his condolences to the family of Hajia Raheemat  Momodu, who passed on yesterday after a brief illness. The deceased who served as the Vice Chairman of the Club, was also an active Journalist.

In a letter signed by the Club’s Chairman, Usman expressed “The sudden death of our Vice Chairman, Hajia Raheemat Momodu yesterday has brought unquenchable tears to all of us at the Etsako Club 81, Abuja Branch, who were privileged to her intellectual insight in the making and planning of our great Chapter and the knowledge she shared with us during meetings.”

“However, we can not question but continue to pray God to forgive her shortcomings and grant her eternal rest. Our deepest condolences go to the family of the deceased, the Journalism family, entire members of Etsako Club 81 (National) and Nigeria in general”.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists had on its part appealed to its members to show up at the National Mosque as they pay their last respect to their fallen colleague.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary, FCT NAWOJ, Nkiru Okeke, following the demise of one of its founding member, Hajia Raheemat  Momodu.

“To this end therefore,The NAWOJ President, Comrade Ladi Bala and FCT Executives led by Comrade Annah Daniel appeal that we all come out enmass today to honour our fallen colleague, mentor and committed Unionist by 12:30pm at the National mosque and subsequently move to gwarimpa cemetery for the burial”.
