The Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, has just concluded a two day training aimed at building the capacity of its staff. The training which was organized by the Budget and National Planning Arm of the Ministry, with the facilitation of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) held at Fraser Suites, Abuja, from 7th – 8th July, 2022.
In her welcome address, the Resident Representative of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Foundation in Nigeria, Marija Peran, commended the Honourable Minister of State, Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Agba for adding value to governance and ensuring constant growth and cooperation in the Ministry.

She also encouraged participants to continually utilize training opportunities as it will help them produce results in their daily schedules, while she appreciated the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Olusola Idowu for her contribution towards strengthening individual capacities.
The training focused on work ethics and values in the public service, effective administrative procedures, team building in work place, public procurement and prospects. Other areas were strategic communication, processes and procedures, strategic human resource management, financial regulations in the public service, the dynamics of reforms in the Nigerian Federal Civil Service, etc.

The Konrad AdenauerStiftung foundation is a none political Foundation whose aim is to strengthen growth in governance, government institutions and rule of law. Other stakeholders were selected state Commissioners for Budget and Economic Planning, staff of Office of the Vice President and Secretary to Government of the Federation.
The National Economic Council, chaired by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo GCON, SAN, has the mandate to advise the President concerning the economic affairs of the Federation, and in particular on measures necessary for the coordination of the economic planning efforts or economic programmes of the various governments of the Federation through its Monthly meetings.
The vote of thanks and closing Remarks of the two days robust capacity building training were given by Dr. Gloria Amhed and Marija Peran respectively.
