Lion Hadiza Abutu-Ibrahim: Bwari Area Council Chairman Commissions Landmark Projects

The Executive Chairman of Bwari Area Council, Hon. Joshua Musa Ishaku, on 26th June, 2026, honoured the invitation of the Abuja Metropolitan Lions Club, led by its President, Lion Hadiza Abutu-Ibrahim, to the commissioning of a 40,000 litre solar powered borehole at the palace of the Sarki Dutse-Pe.

The project, undertaken as part of the Club’s humanitarian and community development initiatives, is aimed at improving access to safe and sustainable water for the Dutse-Pe community.

Ishaku commended the Abuja Metropolitan Lions Club for its commitment to humanitarian service and grassroots development, noting that the intervention complements the efforts of government in enhancing the welfare and quality of life of the people. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to partnering with organizations and stakeholders whose initiatives promote sustainable development and community well-being.

The event brought together traditional rulers, community leaders, members of the Lions Club, government officials, and residents in celebration of another milestone in community service and development.

Hadiza Abutu-Ibrahim, a trailblazer, determined achiever, and president of the Lions Club, Abuja Metropolitan, 2025 -2026, who has impacted several communities in Abuja, Edo, and other states has encouraged other community development partners to continue to build to ensure everyone living in rural areas is safe, secured and has access to clean water.
