The incoming First Lady Prof. Mrs. Idia Ize-Iyamu has judiciously facilitated on behalf of Edo State, the Federal Government Empowerment Scheme for 2000 Women and Youths.
Having engaged women from Edo South Senatorial District and Edo Central Senatorial District, the wrap up phase was done in Auchi, Edo North Senatorial District, today, 17th September, 2020.
It was a glorious day for Afenmai Women as they converged for the purpose of being empowered. The event took place at the Auchi Polytechnic Sports Arena with a lot benefits from the worthy programme.
Apart from the SIMPLE AGENDA, Prof. Mrs. Idia Ize-Iyamu had earlier designed a skill-based document targeted at empowering Edo women on various areas, this is borne out of the fact that the mother over the years has felt the ill treatment meted to Edo women through successive governments, especially the out-going one.
Before the inception of the campaigns, Mrs. Ize-Iyamu has been consistent in seeking for ways to empower the Edo woman, following her effort, her desires were met as the federal government found her a capable and trusted Ambassador.

The Edo woman is in dire need of the Small Scale Enterprise Programme of the National Directorate of Employment, it was good they had this opportunity.
All this came through an industrious daughter of Edo, Mrs. Idia Ize-Iyamu and more will come as she has promised.
The programme gave 2000 Edo women and Youths the privilege to receive the disbursement of Micro Enterprise Enhancement Scheme (MEES) Loan.
Edo State Cordinator Mrs. Ayo Edegbai gave a keynote address on behalf of the Director General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) Dr. Nasir Ladan Mohammed Argungun.
Ize-Iyamu encouraged women and youth to be up and doing, added that there will be more empowerments if the candidate of All Progressives Peoples Congress, Barrister Osagie Ize-Iyamu is voted in come 19th September, 2020.
A man who genuinely care about their welfare.
Therefore, in anticipation of the election, women, youths and men of Edo state has promised to vote out a bad government and give the opportunity to a man who truly care about the people and their welfare.
