The Headquarters Complex of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission Abuja has been thrown into a joyful mood following the announcement of Federal Government’s approval of the 2016 promotion examinations by the Director General, Adolphus Joe Ekpe on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
In a statement signed by the head, media and public relations, Mr. Magnus Ekechukwu, this announcement was made in an emergency staff meeting of the Head Office.
Mr Ekpe however shared in the joy of his staff stating that 890 staff, representing 82% of the candidates were promoted to various Grade Levels out of the 1,086 Staff who sat for the exams; while 196 candidates, representing about 18% were not promoted due to various reasons; ranging from lack of enough vacancies, irregularities, to outright failure of the examinations. He urged those successful in the promotion exams to rededicate themselves to duty, so as to justify the confidence reposed in them while those who were not successful were advised to strive hard to excel in the 2017 promotion exams which he said would be timely and more excellently organised than that of last year.
He further expressed his gratitude to God for the success of the promotion exercise despite all the daunting challenges the Commission faced in that regard.
He therefore announced that the Commission would start the year 2017 with thanksgiving services at the Mosque on Friday January 13 for the Muslims and on Sunday January 15, 2017 for the Christian Community. “Prayers are to be made for the Commission, staff and their respective families as well as for our country, Nigeria” he said.
Details of the venues for the respective thanksgiving services would be announced in due course.
“Mr Ekpe once again conveys his sincere new-year wishes to all staff across our operational locations”, said Ekechukwu.
