First Phase of Annual School Tour by Authors-in-School Creative Club Begins

As part of the annual activities of the Authors-in-School Creative Club and in preparation for the national convention, Co-founder Dr. Lois Otse Adams, along with executive members and club members, will embark on the first phase of the Annual Secondary School Tour starting Wednesday, June 15th, 2024.

Thirty-five secondary schools in the Edo North Senatorial District will host the delegation. The tour will cover six local government areas, aiming to bring together students from various communities at the convention venue.

The tour’s objectives include sensitizing students on moral issues and positive behaviors, showing the importance of acquiring skills beyond the classroom, and educating them on avoiding illegal migration and human trafficking; and to shun drug abuse and cyber crime. Also, it aims to empower students to resist falling into traps of exploitation and to promote overall student well-being.
