Taking a look at Nigeria economy today, you can deduced that lazy citizenry who awaits drops from the hard working fellows now wallow in hunger. This is also the case of students who reluctantly cast all their care on their parents thereby do little or nothing to help themselves.
More so, you see can imaging how school environment looks when inhabitants whom are suppose to be in class chooses a market place, not for ideas but for money and profit making by trading.
Performance now have a paradigm shift since little or no time is devoted to academics. No wonder a one time vice president classified University graduates as ‘half baked’ compared to his secondary school students.
Although, that is a fallacy which practically aims at creating and building publicity for his school. We still have brainiest amongst these business/money mongers students who call finely teach his teachers how to teach and teach the correct thing.
However, we practically would not blame him because if our government have curb this menace of economic recession and standardise the institutions, we would have little to ponder on. But now students still trade just to meet up with other things our parents could not provide.
It left us wondering why the Government do little to support parents and students to provide an enabling environment. However, it is well known that comfortability aids productivity and this is what our leaders fail to understand. We wonder where they are paddling our educational canoe into, we hope it is not to the deep blue sea; we just hope.
To avoid circumlocution, we urge our state government to put up a positive measure towards helping the students by providing little to enhance their academic expenses like bursary and scholarship; it will go along way. Also, the federal government should subsidise our fees to enable our parents spend less on our academics in other to aim at other things like providing for the family.
We plead, for we know we can perform better if we concentrate more on academics and little on the craftship of entrepreneur on campus. Our leaders
