The Founder of Udukhotse Foundation, Amb. Lois Otse Adams, has been recognized as the most influential founder of the year by the Afri-Entertainment and Creativity, ACE awards.
The award ceremony which is organised by Wake up Africa Initiative WAI and Vieworld International, is slated for 18th June, 2022 at the Mamman Vasta Writers Village, Mpape Hills, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Udukhotse Foundation in the past 5 years has trained over 500 women and mentored over 5000 students in Edo North, Edo State, annually, in addition, has given out and facilitated books to schools of over 20,000 population since inception.
In her first book, Olaitan Oyerinde: His Struggles for a Better Nigeria’, that was officially presented on 29th June, 2013, Adams gave out 60 percent of 7.5 Million Naira realised from the book proceeds; donations and sales to Charity and she has continued to do this from the proceeds in her subsequent books.
A widow-concerned foundation, Lois Widow Stands Foundation, recently expressed gratitude to the Trustees of Udukhotse Foundation for the financial assistance given to support Widows in the society during her birthday.
This was contained in an appreciation letter, signed by the Founder of Lois Widow Stands Foundation, Jonathan Lois on the 18th May, 2022, and addressed to the Trustees, Udukhotse Foundation, Edo State, Nigeria.
Part of the letter read: “On behalf of Lois Widow Stands Foundation, I wish to appreciate the Trustees of Udukhotse Foundation for the financial assistance given to support my Widows Outing during my 50th Anniversary on March 27th, 2022”.
“I also use this opportunity to thank one of your own and the Founder, Amb. Lois Otse Adams, who standout for the less privileged ones and widows in our society, for her healthy thought of partnership with Widows through my Foundation”.
The Udukhotse Foundation which was established in 2015, has seen through community development projects, where elderly persons, physically challenged persons, girl child and students are aided. Quarterly, the Foundation gives out various items to women, both singles and married; a moment her wardrobe is emptied for charity work. She has supported several non-governmental organizations in Community projects with her resources, presence and morally.
Lois Adams have been passionate about raising the status of young girls and boys in the past 10 years, as she has mentored young people on the streets, and organised hospital and orphanage visitations annually for the past 22 years.
Her Foundation have offered to be a voice to the voiceless and has aided young organisations. She has partnered and given voices to the physically challenged persons nationwide and to be specific, Lagos State, Edo State and Federal Capital Territory, while she has embarked on annual visitation to Elderly people in various communities across the federation.
Adams, whose passion has endeared her to many in the society at her leisure time also have given online classes on reading and writing culture to children, done charity based editorials for those who could not afford to pay and encouraged young writers to publish their books.
She has indeed proven to the world that one does not have to be in power, politics, hold political or be rich to make positive impact therefore, she has expanded her skillful world of entrepreneurship over the years.
