The Worldwide President and entire members of Etsako Club 81 are pleased to invite you to the Afenmai Cultural Day celebration on February 16, 2025, under the inspiring theme, ‘Reviving Our Afenmai Culture: A Call to Action.’ This event will bring together leaders, cultural enthusiasts, and stakeholders, including His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Executive Governor of Edo State as the Special Guest of Honour. Together, we will celebrate the vibrant heritage, values, and traditions of the Afenmai people, while reigniting our collective responsibility to preserve and promote our cultural identity for future generations.

In his first 100 days in office, Governor Monday Okpebholo has made remarkable strides in advancing Edo State’s development. His administration has prioritized infrastructure upgrades, improved access to healthcare, improved security network and launched initiatives to empower the youth and strengthen education. Beyond these tangible achievements, Governor Okpebholo has consistently championed the preservation of Edo’s cultural heritage, recognizing its role in fostering unity and pride. His support for events like the Afenmai Cultural Day underscores his commitment to ensuring that progress and tradition go hand in hand.

The event will be held at the Admiralty Conference Hall Naval Dockyard, Ahmadu Bello Way Victoria Island, Lagos and will be graced by other eminent personalities including Prof. Mike Ozekhome, SAN, CON, as the Chairman; His Excellency, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, Honorable Minister of Regional Development; His Excellency, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, mni, CON, Senator, Edo North Senatorial District as Distinguished guests of honour; Dr. Allen Onyema, Chief Executive Officer/Chairman of the famous Air Peace Airline.

This celebration is not just a moment to reflect on our rich past but also an opportunity to inspire action toward a brighter, culturally vibrant future. Let us unite to honour our roots, celebrate our present, and build a legacy that generations to come will be proud of.
