Love, they say, is a beautiful thing and the religion of humanity is love. Therefore, the only connection between the old and new generations, events of the past that span through generations have been confirmed to be on the bedrock of love.
According to Francesco Petrarch, an Italian scholar and poet of Renaissance;
“Love is the crowning grace of humanity, the holiest right of the soul, the golden link which binds us to duty and truth, the redeeming principle that chiefly reconciles the heart to live, and is prophetic of eternal good.”

Denzel Washington, an American movie award-winning star who doubles as a philanthropist in one of his interviews said, “At the end of the day, it is not about what you have or what you have accomplished. It is about who you have lifted, and who you have made better. It is about what you have given back.”
This is in line with the belief of Princess (Dr.) Gloria Kudi Ahmed, an embodiment of love, who transmits this to whoever comes her way. She has touched many lives through her foundation and she won’t stop.
On Christmas day, 25th December 2022, it was the turn of the people of Nasarawa State to enjoy her benevolence and her foundation was again available as a vehicle to transfer joy to feeble hearts in Akwanga, a popular town in the State, with her charity programme tagged ‘Christmas with the Vulnerable’. The special event is one of many others the organization deploys as a way to reach out and advocate for the elderly and vulnerable in society.

The event which had over 1000 persons in attendance featured a party for the aged, widows and children. It also included Santa’s visit, a dancing competition and the distribution of gifts with plenty to eat and drink. The celebration saw the fusion of both young, middle-aged, and older generations coming together to share memorable moments. It was indeed a magnetic experience.
One hundred widows and elderly women got special Christmas packages of various food items, while two selected orphans got cash gifts from the foundation.

Dr. Ahmed addressed the widows on the need to take care of themselves by adopting healthy lifestyles, she urged them to stay morally upright as they are role models to younger women in the society. “Though life is tough, I encourage you to engage in farming and petty trading and keep faith alive in the face of adversities above all, hold on to God” she encouraged.
The widows and elderly women were filled with so many emotions. They thanked the foundation for its gestures and prayed for the Founder.
The event was attended by the village head of Kurmin Tagwaye, Kasimu Kpobe, his household, friends from other communities, and various pressure groups in the community.
